In May 2003, Vetrofluid was applied to a rainwater sedimentation tank operated by WSW Energie & Wasser AG in Wuppertal-Cronenberg, Germany. The concrete was already around ten years old and suffered severe surface sanding - particularly during high-pressure cleaning at up to 500 bar.
The application was carried out together with the contractors Strabag and AWAS. The basin was cleaned, then treated with EverCrete Vetrofluid to full saturation.
Nineteen years later
In May 2022, WSW confirmed in writing that Vetrofluid had:
- Considerably strengthened the concrete
- Made it more resistant to water penetration
- Eliminated the sanding problem - even under routine high-pressure cleaning
"Even now, after 19 years, we can confirm that EverCrete Vetrofluid has considerably strengthened the concrete and made it more impermeable to water, so that sanding no longer takes place."
