Basement and Cellar Waterproofing Products

Keep water out of basements, cellars and below-ground structures by protecting the concrete itself - not just covering it. Ecobeton treatments work alongside membranes and cavity drainage, giving the structure its own line of defence.

Designed to complement BS 8102 strategies

UK basement design follows BS 8102, which defines three forms of protection: Type A (barrier protection such as membranes and tanking), Type B (structurally integral protection) and Type C (drained cavity systems).

Ecobeton products are complementary, not competitive with these strategies:

  • Type B designs: Evercrete Vetrofluid penetrates deep into the concrete matrix, closing capillaries and pores so the structure itself resists water - reinforcing the integral protection concept.
  • Type A designs: Poseidone cementitious tanking provides a bonded barrier on concrete and masonry, while Vetrofluid protects the substrate behind the barrier.
  • Type C designs: treating the retained structure with Vetrofluid reduces water ingress reaching the cavity, easing the load on drainage and pumps.

The Ecobeton basement system

  • Evercrete Vetrofluid - deep-penetrating, certified concrete waterproofing treatment. Permanent, breathable and resistant to chlorides, carbonation and freeze-thaw.
  • Poseidone - cementitious tanking coating for basement walls and tanks exposed to water pressure.
  • Baselastik - two-component flexible membrane for junctions, floor-wall joints and wet areas.
  • Crono and Strutturale - repair mortars to reinstate damaged concrete before treatment.
